Her practice explores hybrid forms at the intersection of theatre, film, movement and multimedia performance/installation, with sound and the body as central elements. She is currently focusing her research on reality perception — particularly in relation to trauma. Her multidisciplinary practice also includes visual arts, such as photography, drawing, paintings and microcinema, which nourish and expand her artistic approach.
Trained in ensemble-based, collaborative theatre and movement-led practices, Emilie places collaboration at the core of her process. Whether working with a group or a single partner, she cultivates an experimental and playful environment where ideas are tested collectively. Her work is rooted in a care-led approach informed by her research into accessibility and inclusivity, supported by a DYCP grant from Arts Council England.
Her background in fine arts, applied arts, and costume design informs how she composes images and stage environments.
She is the artistic director of Hors-Champ (“off screen” in English), where she is developing her debut show Les Nuits Troubles. Alongside her own projects & research, Emilie collaborates widely as a performer, director, movement director, and director assistant.
