ABOUT
Emilie Largier (b. 1988) is a French multidisciplinary artist, physical theatre performer, and stage director specialising in devising techniques and collaborative / ensemble-based theatre. Her work operates at the intersection of performance, moving image, and sound, exploring audience perception and creating unsettling spaces where reality and imagination collide.
Drawing inspiration from painting, cinema, and montage techniques, her practice is experimental, research-driven, and interdisciplinary, with a particular focus on memory, trauma, and constructed realities.
She holds a BA in Fine Arts from the University of Toulouse, a Bachelor’s in Period Costume Design & Making from Lycée Paul Poiret in Paris, and graduated from Fourth Monkey Actor Training Company (London) in 2020. Emilie is the founder and artistic director of Hors-Champ and has collaborated on productions across the U.K. and Europe, including France, Belgium, Denmark, and Finland.
Her recent work has been presented at CPH Stage 2025 (Denmark) in collaboration with Hangar People and Kristjan Ingimarsson Company, Feral Festival 2026 (Denmark), and Hippolyte Gallery (Finland) in collaboration with multidisciplinary artist Kalle Nio.
