In darkness or low-lit environments, the eye must adjust and learn to see differently. The same applies to listening rooms: removed from visual stimuli, the listener is invited into a heightened state of presence, developing a more acute and sensitive quality of listening.
Drawing inspiration from Courbet’s L’Origine du Monde, listening rooms, and low-lit museum spaces that preserve fragile objects, this installation is conceived as a breathing sculpture that places intimacy as a state of observation, vibrating between closeness and distance, connection and disconnection. Using subwoofers as instruments and the body as transducers, 011100_ creates a sonic and visual experience in which digital, synthetic, and organic forms converge.
